Hundreds of Muslims took to the streets on Tuesday in Manhattan amid Ramadan to voice their support for the Palestinian people as the Israeli regime resumed its genocidal war on Gaza.

Why it matters:

The U.S. is the main supporter of the Israeli regime's genocidal war. As it provides the arms and financial supplies for the regime out of the Americans' pockets, both Muslim and non-Muslim Americans are uprising against the U.S. government.

What we're watching:

A pro-Palestinian activist says the Palestinian cause will prevail as the conflict extends beyond Gaza.

The big picture:

Protesters in Times Square opposed Israel's attacks on Gaza, calling for Palestine's freedom and an end to the violence. In coordination with the U.S., Israel has resumed its attacks on Gaza while breaching the ceasefire agreement with Hamas. The strikes have intensely targeted residential areas, schools, and shelters housing the displaced.
