Tbilisi (IP) - The Central Election Commission of Georgia has confirmed the results of the parliamentary elections that the "Georgian Dream" party, opposed to Georgia's joining the European Union, has won.

Iran Press/Europe: According to Iranpress, the Central Election Commission of Georgia on Saturday confirmed the results of the October 26, 2024 parliamentary elections despite the gathering of protesters in front of the commission's building in Tbilisi.

At the same time as the election was approved, the protesters continued their demonstration holding the flags of the European Union and the United States.

After the parliamentary elections in Georgia, the parties in favor of joining the European Union and the opposition did not accept the results of the elections and came to the streets with the support and instigation of the West and claimed fraud in the parliamentary elections.

The Central Commission of Georgia announced that the "Georgia Dream" party had 53.92% of the votes (against Georgia joining the European Union), the Coalition for Change had 11.03% of the votes, the Vahdat party - the National Movement had 10.17% of the votes, Georgia Strong had 8.81% of the votes and Gakharia's party for Georgia won 7.78% of the votes in the parliamentary elections. 204
