Tehran (IP)- President Masoud Pezeshkian said: " If the Zionist regime wants to make a mistake, it will receive a far more crushing response."

Iran Press/ Iran news: In the meeting of the cabinet on Wednesday, Masoud Pezeshkian, while praising the successful operation of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran last night in targeting the military and security centers of the Zionist regime, said: "This proud operation, which once again showed the national pride of the Iranians to the world, was in accordance with international rules and in response to the crime of this regime in the assassination of Martyr Haniyeh in our country, as well as the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and a number of resistance commanders."

The President stated that after the assassination of Martyr Haniyeh in Tehran, which was a clear violation of Iran's sovereignty and national security, the Western countries kept calling us to exercise restraint and promising to immediately establish a ceasefire in Gaza, and added: "Despite the people's rights, we also in response to this crime, did not take action in the hope that the genocide of the oppressed and innocent people of Gaza would stop, but this criminal and bloodthirsty regime not only continued to kill women and children, but also expanded the scope of its crimes to Lebanon and with the explosion of pagers created a disaster in the hands of ordinary people, and it is worth considering that the same countries that claim they are supporting human rights, which called us to exercise restraint, remained silent in the face of the actions of this regime."

Emphasizing that last night's proud operation of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran once again proved that their alleged iron dome is more fragile than glass, the president severely criticized the double behavior and inaction of the international assemblies and the Western countries towards the criminality of the Zionist regime.

"In the meeting of the United Nations General Assembly, which is based on the establishment of international security and world peace, the criminal prime minister of this regime publicly threatened our country and other countries remained silent in the face of such behavior."

Iran missile attack

The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) released a statement on Tuesday night announcing a targeted strike on the heart of the occupied territories in response to the martyrdom of key figures.

The statement began by addressing the Iranian nation and the broader Islamic community, recounting recent provocations: "The great Islamic Ummah and the noble, martyr-loving people of Iran have witnessed a period of restraint following the violation of Iran’s sovereignty through the assassination of the martyr and resistance leader, Dr. Ismail Haniyeh, by the Zionist regime."

"Under our right to self-defense, enshrined in the UN Charter, and in response to escalating aggressions supported by the United States, which have resulted in massacres in Lebanon and Gaza, and the martyrdom of the great mujahid, leader of the resistance axis and honorable Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, as well as the martyrdom of the brave commander and senior advisor of the IRGC, Major General Seyyed Abbas Nilforoushan, we have carried out an extensive military operation," it added.

The statement detailed that "dozens of ballistic missiles" were launched, targeting critical military and security installations within the occupied territories. The IRGC has promised further details on the operation to follow.

It was also noted that the operation was approved by the Supreme National Security Council and was executed with the support and cooperation of the Iranian Armed Forces, including the Ministry of Defense and the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The IRGC concluded with a stark warning: "If the Zionist regime responds militarily to this operation, which is in full accordance with international laws and Iran's legal rights, they will face subsequent devastating and destructive attacks." 300
