A recent poll conducted by Israel's Ministry of Immigration and Combating Antisemitism has revealed surprising findings: over one-third of Jewish-American teenagers aged 14 to 18 reportedly express solidarity with Hamas. The survey has sparked significant discussion about shifting perspectives among Jewish youth in the United States.

Iran Press/America: The survey, conducted in the wake of Israel’s genocide in Gaza highlights the following:

Solidarity with Hamas: 36.7% of Jewish-American teens surveyed agreed or strongly agreed with the statement, "I stand in solidarity with Hamas." This level of support contrasts sharply with the 7% of Jewish teens outside the U.S. who expressed similar sentiments.

Views on Gaza Conflict: 41.3% of American respondents believe Israel is "committing murder and massacre in Gaza." By comparison, only 10% of Jewish teens outside the U.S. agreed with this statement.

Broader Support for Palestinians: The poll also found that two-thirds (66%) of American Jewish teens expressed solidarity with the entire Palestinian people.

Zionist Identity: Despite these perspectives, 62% of respondents identified as Zionist, and 84% agreed that Israel has the right to exist as a Jewish state.

The findings underscore a growing divide within Jewish communities worldwide, particularly between younger American Jews and those in other parts of the world. Analysts suggest that access to diverse media sources and increasing criticism of Israeli policies among liberal Jewish Americans may contribute to these attitudes.
