Anonymous gunmen attacked the police in one of the cities of Sistan and Balouchestan Province, southeastern Iran, on Thursday evening.

Iran PressIran news: The gunmen opened fire on the border guard police forces at a gas station in Mirjave city as a result of which three police staff, two soldiers, and one officer, were martyred and a civilian was injured. 

The Jeish ul-Adl terrorist group claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack.

Jeish ul-Adl in Brief

Jeish ul-Adl, also called in Iran Jeish ul-Zolm, is a terrorist group following the notorious backed terrorist ringleader Abdulmalek Rigi who was arrested by the Iranian security forces.

The group is active in the southeastern part of Iran, specifically in the province of Sistan and Baluchistan, a major part of its forces are trained and organized in Pakistan.

Jeish ul-Adl has so far carried out several terrorist attacks and suicide operations in Iran which have led to the martyrdom of dozens of Iranian civilians and military forces.

For example, in February 2018, Jeish ul-Adal blew up a bus carrying the Iranian border guards, killing and wounding dozens of soldiers.

Rasaluddin Farooqi from Rask, a city in Sistan and Balouchestan is the present leader of the notorious group. He is one of the former members of the Jundullah terrorist group led by Abdul Malek Rigi; after the collapse of the Jundullah group, Farooqi activated the Jeish al-Adl terrorist group.

Jeish ul-Adl follows a separationist policy toward Iran.
