He stated that Iran has thwarted numerous plots after approximately 200 ISIS members recently entered the country with intentions to operate terrorist attacks and instability during the Arba'een march in Iran, Iraq, and the region.
During an annual conference of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) commanders, Khatib revealed that spies from Sweden, France, and Britain have been apprehended in Iran. Despite foreign pressures, some of them have been executed.
Khatib emphasized that Iran's success in capturing spies is attributed to the coordination and cooperation among various intelligence community forces.
