Iran Press/Iran news: According to the Iran Press news agency, "Masoud Pezeshkian" met with the President of Tajikistan "Emomali Rahmon" who traveled to Iran to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the 14th term of the presidency.
Pezeshkian considered this presence as a sign of the depth of friendship, intimacy, and closeness between the two nations and stated: Tajikistan is a country that speaks the same language as us, and I hope that we can expand cooperation in various fields by relying on this commonality.
The president stated that we should try to reduce political boundaries and emphasize cooperation and relationships, adding: meeting and interacting with you is different for us and talking with a common language is very sweet and lovely and we should use this platform and the various capacities for mutual benefits.
In this meeting, Emomali Rahmon also described Iran as a very important partner and friend for Tajikistan and stated: Iran and Tajikistan have a common heritage of ancient and brilliant civilization and culture, of which Nowruz is just one of its beautiful manifestations.
Stating that Iran has made significant progress despite the extensive sanctions, the President of Tajikistan said: The progress of the Islamic Republic of Iran is also a source of pride for us and we are interested in cooperating in the field of exchanging experiences and capabilities of the two countries. Also, Iran and Tajikistan have common challenges and issues, especially regarding the status of Afghanistan as another member of the civilization field of Persian-speaking countries, which should help to establish complete stability and security in this country.204
