In a recent meeting with Dr. Ibrahim Boughali, Speaker of the People's National Assembly of Algeria, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, describing it as a painful event.

Iran Press/Iran news: He asserted that the ongoing criminal actions of the Zionist regime, including attacks on Palestinian civilians and hospitals, are a direct result of the support provided by the United States and some Western countries to this "terrorist regime."

Pezeshkian stated, "America and Western countries not only justify the crimes of the Zionists in violating the rights of Palestinians, but by sending weapons and military equipment, they encourage this regime to continue its crimes and killings." He emphasized the need for Islamic countries to unite against the "greed of the domination system" and to act as a barrier against the crimes of the Zionist regime in Palestine.

Expressing gratitude for Algeria's congratulatory message, Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran's commitment to strengthening relations with neighboring and friendly Muslim countries, including Algeria. He noted, "The promotion of relations between the two countries in various political, economic, and cultural fields is a win-win equation that leads to mutual progress and benefits."

Dr. Ibrahim Boughali reiterated Algeria's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, stating, "Algeria will never fail to pursue the rights of the oppressed Palestinian people." He conveyed his condolences regarding Haniyeh's assassination, asserting that the Zionist regime's actions would only serve to strengthen the spirit and determination of the resistance.

The Algerian Speaker also congratulated Iran on the successful conduct of its presidential elections and highlighted the importance of expediting the implementation of agreements made during President Raisi's visit to Algeria. He emphasized the formation of a committee to follow up on joint agreements as a significant achievement of that trip.

In summary, both Pezeshkian and Boughali condemned Western support for Israel and called for unity among Islamic nations to counteract Zionist aggression. They also discussed the importance of enhancing bilateral relations between Iran and Algeria as a means of resisting external pressures in the region.
