Tehran (IP) - The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, had a telephone conversation with the President-elect, Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss boosting ties.

Iran Press/Iran news: In this phone call, the President of Turkey stated that Iran-Turkey relations have a long history and said: "I believe that these relations will be developed in any field in the new era."

In this conversation, bilateral relations, regional and international issues were discussed.

According to Iran Press, the 14th presidential election runoff was held on Friday, July 5, 2024, across Iran, and about 50% of eligible voters participated in the election.

According to the final results announced by the Ministry of Interior, Masoud Pezeshkian was elected as the 9th Islamic President of Iran with 16,384,403 votes out of a total of 30,530,157 votes.
