Isfahan (IP) - A huge crowd of people in Isfahan province in central Iran gathered in Naqsh-e Jahan Square to show their solidarity with the people of Gaza on the occasion of the National day of the "13th of Aban" (November 4th) which called Student Day.

Iran PressIran news: Aban 13 (November 4th) marks three important events: The anniversary of the takeover of the former US embassy in Tehran by Muslim students following Imam Khomeini's path (1979) because of destructive policy of US to Iran Revolution and espionage activity of the US embassy under cover of diplomatic, the anniversary of the exile of the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini by former regime of Pahlavi (1964), and the Student Day (marking the day in 1978 on which several students taking part in a protest rally against the Shah were martyred.)

The rallies of Aban 13th are the National Day of Fighting Global Arrogance in Iran, in which Iranians gather to hold the anniversary every year.

The commemoration of the 13th of Aban this year took on a distinct vitality, fueled in part by the current geopolitical landscape. Various U.S. officials have openly endorsed and supported Israel's relentless bombing campaign in Gaza, obstinately rejecting ceasefire proposals at the United Nations.
