Paris (IP) - Thousands of people took to the streets in Paris' Republic Square to protest against Israel's continuous aggressive attacks on Gaza and the martyrdom of more than 5,000 Palestinian citizens over the past two weeks.

Iran PressEurope: It was the first pro-Palestinian demonstration since Israel's attacks on Palestine, which the French government allowed.  More than ten French left-wing organizations, human rights organizations, French citizens, Arabs, and Africans participated in the demonstration.

The protesters demanded an end to Israeli atrocities in Palestine. The participants held up Palestinian flags and banners demanding the liberation of Palestine and an end to the genocide of innocent Palestinians by the Israeli regime.

The protesters criticized French President Emmanuel Macron and his government as well and announced that the French government is equally the culprit in Israeli atrocities. The protestors stated that the French government is an ally of the Israeli regime, but we as the public support the Palestinian people.

The demonstrators appealed to the United Nations to immediately stop the atrocities committed by Israel and also demanded that the human rights violations in Gaza must be addressed meanwhile France should stop supporting Israel immediately, too.
