Israeli forces raided a neighborhood in the city of Qalqiliya in the West Bank overnight, killing a Palestinian teen.

Iran PressMiddle East: The shooting, which was announced early on Thursday, occurred in the city of Qalqiliya, as the Zionist forces reportedly stormed a local neighborhood overnight, resulting in clashes.

The Zionist regime forces killed 14-year-old Palestinian teenager Faris Abu Samra in the neighborhood in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian health ministry, marking the latest death amid a surge of violence in the region.

Local news reports indicated he had been shot in the head.

A number of other Palestinians were also injured in the incident.

The bloodshed happened only hours after another Palestinian man was killed in a West Bank raid further south, in the Al-Ain refugee camp on the outskirts of Nablus.

Qalqiliya, where the teen was shot on Thursday, is located in the northwest part of the West Bank and surrounded by the Zionist regime's apartheid separation wall, a structure the UN deems illegal.

The city has previously been the site of clashes between the Zionist regime military and Palestinians. In October, for instance, another 14-year-old was shot dead near the separation barrier by the Zionist forces.

The Zionist regime military claims that the operations were necessary to prevent probable imaginary attacks, but many have accused Tel Aviv of using excessive force and carrying out extrajudicial killings in the occupied West Bank.
