Accra (IP)- On the last Friday of Ramadan, Iranians and other Arab and Muslim countries will mark International Quds Day, which is intended to express general opposition to Israel.

Iran PressAfrica: On April 14, Iran celebrates International Quds Day which is held every year on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan. This way Iran intends to express general opposition to Israel's control over Al-Quds. 

The Palestinian Ambassador to Ghana and Dean of Arab Diplomatic Missions in Ghana, Abdalfatah Ahmed Khalil Alsatarri, states that the attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque is an attack on the Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim identity of the holy site as well as an attack on the identity of Jerusalem. And he believes that one day Palestine will be free again

"We have a strong belief that our history and geography believe that my country will be free one day, the Quds will be free one day because there is no law in this world that is stopping people from seeking for freedom," Alsatarri said.

He called on all Muslims who believe in the Holy Quran to rally their support for the people of Palestine. 

"All Muslims who believe the holy Quran believe that Jerusalem the capital will be back to Palestine and Palestine will be free again," he added.

The ambassador further thanked all the countries that stand for Palestine especially Ghana for its support to the Palestinians in Ghana. 

"I want to thank all the countries that stand for Palestine and stand for justice," the diplomat noted.

"I want to thank the Ghana government for its support to the people of Palestine. All the time Ghana stands by Palestine, by human rights and the international law too," he said.

Ambassador Abdalfatah Ahmed Khalil Alsatarri was speaking in an exclusive interview with Iran Press correspondent Asmau Ashiru Bawa at an iftar organized by the government of Ghana on Wednesday, 13 April 2023 at the office of the president of Ghana.
