Islamabad (IP) - The students from different universities of Islamabad jointly demonstrated against Israeli aggression in Gaza.

Iran PressAsia: Along with students, people from different walks of life participated in the students' march.

A few days ago, it was announced by various student organizations that if the ongoing genocide of Palestinians is not stopped immediately due to American support, the students will protest outside the American embassy.

Thousands of students marched to the US Embassy, carrying posters and Palestine flags and chanting slogans against the Israeli regime. They played well-known Palestinian jihadi songs.

Senator Mushtaq Ahmad spoke to the students, expressing solidarity with the democratic youth across the globe who are fighting for Palestine.

He emphasized the gravity of the situation by mentioning that around forty thousand innocents have lost their lives in Palestine, and even the United Nations has acknowledged the prevailing famine in the region that extends from the north to as far south as Gaza.

He stated that Hamas and Palestine are on the verge of winning their war while missiles, such as phosphorus, are being fired at innocent children.

Nasrullah Randhawa and others also said that atrocities by Israel are continuing, Palestinians have sacrificed their lives, millions of Palestinians have been deported, and our movement will continue, the sacrifices of the mothers and sisters of Gaza will not go in vain.

According to a student representative who spoke to Iran Press, they will not allow an American band to perform in Islamabad. The student representative stated that the band should leave immediately due to the high level of anti-American sentiment amongst the public.

The administration prevented the students from approaching the US Embassy and the sensitive area called the Red Zone. In response, the students decided to hold a sit-in at Serena Square and blocked the streets.

They continued their protest late into the night while a significant police force cordoned off the Red Zone. The highway leading to the US Embassy was completely closed to all traffic.
