Islamabad(IP)-Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mohammad Ishaq Dar expressed gratitude to Iran over its stances on regional issues, in particular its support for Palestine.

Iran Press/Asia: Ishaq Dar made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in Islamabad on Monday, adding that the Pakistani government and people have long been waiting for President Raisi’s visit to the neighboring country.

The Pakistani foreign minister underlined that Iran’s stance in support of the Palestinian nation is praiseworthy and that the Islamic world is thankful for Iran’s role in resolving common challenges.

He also congratulated Raisi on the successful holding of the recent elections.

President Raisi, heading a high-ranking political and economic delegation, arrived in the Pakistani capital and was welcomed by Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Housing and Works Riaz Hussain Pirzada on Monday morning.

The officials of Iran and Pakistan are scheduled to sign several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on trade, economic, health, security, judicial, and agricultural cooperation in the presence of heads of states of both nations.
