Beirut (IP) – Taking about the presence of Iran's medical team in Lebanon, the Head of the Islamic Republic's Red Crescent Society said in the Israeli pager terrorist operation some of the injured were transferred to Iran for treatment.

Iran Press/West Asia: Reports indicate that the pager explosions on Tuesday, which occurred in various regions across Lebanon, injured over 2,800 individuals, including members of Hezbollah, and civilians, including the Ambassador of Iran to Lebanon, who was injured. 

The Head of Iran's Red Crescent Society Pir-Hossein Kolivand told Iran Press on Wednesday that considering the type of terrorist operations in Lebanon, Iranian specialized groups, including ophthalmologists, were dispatched to Lebanon.

Kolivand said that some of the wounded need additional treatment and are transferred to Iran.

He said the physical condition of Iran's ambassador Mojtaba Amani is good and will be transferred to Iran for further treatment.

Amani's finger and eye were hurt in the Israeli terrorist attack, said an aware diplomat in Lebanon.
