Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking at the Second International Congress of Holy Quds, held via videoconferencing on Tuesday, the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution for Hajj affairs, Seyyed Abolhassan Navvab, considered defending and supporting the oppressed as a divine tradition and stated: "With the help of God Almighty, the oppressed and deprived children of Holy Quds will overcome the Zionist criminals."
He stated that the violation of the rights of others has always been considered as oppression in history and different ethnicities and believes and that the oppressor has been condemned and the oppressed have been supported, adding that the great powers do not observe the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and use it as a pretext to advance their oppressive goals.
The Leader’s representative stated: "On the subject of oppression in Judaism, in Jewish texts including the Torah and other Jewish sacred texts by quoting stories and numerous narrations from the Jewish scriptures, being against oppression and defense of the oppressed are considered as one of the principles of Judaism.”
"According to the Hebrew Bible, shedding blood is a big sin on earth, and in Jewish criminal law, murder is considered the most serious and reprehensible crime," Navvab said.
"Obviously oppression of nations is the most widespread and severe oppression. What is happening in Palestine today is all about oppression and misery, especially oppression of nations; But this oppression is already ending," he added.
"It is a divine tradition that God acts in defense of his oppressed servants, and as he destroyed Korah (also mentioned in the Quran by the name of Qarun), who had lots of wealth and power, he overcomes the oppressors, and the oppressed and deprived children of Holy Quds will overcome the child-killing Zionist criminals,” the Leader’s representative ended.
The Second International Congress of Holy Quds started on Tuesday in the videoconference format with the slogan of “al-Quds is closest,” with the attendance of national and international figures from different countries.
Thirty national and international figures from Iran, Palestine, Malaysia, India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, France, Argentina, Iraq, Turkey, Chile, UAE, Lebanon, Syria, Britain, Canada, and Tunisia, have attended the two-day conference.
