Iran Press/ Iran News: Speaking at a press conference of the executive board of the National Olympic Committee was held on Jan. 10, 2023, in Tehran, Manaf Hashemi said that most of the sports federations received 30% more money than the budget limit.
Hashemi added: More help will be given to the federations that have athletes in the Asian Games.
He also touched upon Iran's Omid football team, saying: "For the strong presence of the Omid football team, cooperation and coordination with the football federation are on the agenda."
Iran's Omid football team is the national under-23 football team, also known as Iran U-23 or Iran Olympic Team; which represents Iran in international football competitions in Olympic Games, Asian Games, and AFC U-22 Asian Cup, as well as any other under-23 international football tournaments. It is controlled by the Iran Football Federation.
