Tehran (IP) - The Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee stressed that by allocating the required budgets in coordination with the organization of the budget program, the sports federations should not be worried about finances.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking at a press conference of the executive board of the National Olympic Committee was held on Jan. 10, 2023, in Tehran, Manaf Hashemi said that most of the sports federations received 30% more money than the budget limit.

Hashemi added: More help will be given to the federations that have athletes in the Asian Games.

He also touched upon Iran's Omid football team, saying: "For the strong presence of the Omid football team, cooperation and coordination with the football federation are on the agenda."

Iran's Omid football team is the national under-23 football team, also known as Iran U-23 or Iran Olympic Team; which represents Iran in international football competitions in Olympic Games, Asian Games, and AFC U-22 Asian Cup, as well as any other under-23 international football tournaments. It is controlled by the Iran Football Federation.
