Iran Press/ Iran news: Mojtaba Amini, the secretary of the 41st Fajr Film Festival, appeared behind the podium and at the beginning of his speech, talked about the Khoy earthquake incident, which happened the other day and paid tributes to the victims of the incident.
He further explained that, on the 12th of Bahman (February 1st, 2023, the annual celebration of Iranian cinema will begin.
He further added that despite the problems in recent years in the Islamic country including the COVID-19 pandemic and other issues and although the production process of the country's cinema works was delayed a bit, the secretariat was faced with a good film production package, and the 75 works that were registered in the group section and the works that reached the secretariat were much more significant works compared to last year.
Amini stated that finally, 30 movies were available to be chosen 24 of which entered the contest.
Elsewhere Amini pointed out: "This year, the cinema-loving audience of our country will face a special traffic of movies. We will have works from different climates and a new vitality and spirit will be seen in the cinema production line."
He also added: "Our humble view and policy is that the festival should be consistent with our Iranian Islamic lifestyle policy and we should not copy other festivals and implement them."
Amini further referred to Iran's artistic cultural background which is well-known and cannot be competed with anywhere in the world and can depict Iranian high art.
He stated that the staff of the 41st Fajr Film Festival is moving forward within the framework of the Iranian Islamic lifestyle and Iranian authentic culture.
