Iran Press/ America: Barack Obama has reportedly warned Joe Biden about how strong a challenge Donald Trump will be in their second election battle in 2024, should Trump win the Republican nomination next year as expected.
As Biden battles a mild case of COVID-19, Obama reportedly became the latest Democratic titan to question whether the 81-year-old incumbent should end his campaign for reelection against former President Donald Trump amid widespread concerns over his age and fitness.
Although Obama has not spoken directly to Biden in recent days, he has conveyed to Democratic allies that Biden needs to consider the viability of his campaign seriously,
He has stressed that Biden is the only one who can decide to step down, presumably in the coming days as the Democratic National Convention is looming in just over three weeks.
Polls say most Democratic voters want Biden to drop out of the race after concerns about his fitness erupted over his shaky performance in last month’s debate with Trump.
