Iran Press/ Europe: Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, in his X account, stated: “I urge fellow donor countries to reflect on the wider consequences of cutting UNRWA off."
Norway's top diplomat added: “We cannot abandon the Palestinian people. This is exactly the wrong time to halt funding for UNRWA. Norway stands fast on our commitments.”
To follow the United States, some European states have suspended or stopped sending help to UNRWA which is one of the important agencies playing a crucial role in dispatching aid to Gaza.
The UNRWA has warned against the suspension of such aid, stating that it may lead to ending its activities by the end of February 2024.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Sunday that 107 Palestinians were martyred in the last 24 hours, thus bringing the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli regime to 27,238 since the beginning of the war against Gaza. 219
