Abuja (IP): In Nigeria, thousands of people took to the streets to show their utmost solidarity with and support for the oppressed people of Palestine and raise their voices for the importance of the liberation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the hand of the Israeli regime.

Iran PressAfrica: In the Nigerian capital city of Abuja, the protesters were heard chanting anti-Israeli and American slogans, calling for the International Community to take strong punishment against Israel. 

Also in Bauchi, Kano Katsina, Sokoto, and more than other 25 towns and cities in the Northern parts of Nigeria, the Quds day procession took place, where flags of Palestine, placards with messages of support for Palestinians, banners, and photos of the late Founder of Iran's Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini, were raised.

In 1979, the late Founder of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Khomeini initiated the International Quds day in which people around the world take to the streets on every last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan to express support for Palestine and condemn the inhumanity of Israel against people of Palestine.

On the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, by the initiative of the late Founder of Iran's Islamic Repvolution, Imam Khomeini, people across the world show united support for the oppressed people of Palestine; it is for about 43 years that the people of the world have held rallies on the occasion of International Quds Day to protest against the Israeli occupation of Palestine and support the oppressed people of the country.
