Iran Press/Africa: To remind the general public about the heinous crime committed by the United States in 2020 in which Donald Trump ordered the assassination of Late General Qasem Soleimani and his comrade, Abu Mahdi Al Muhandis, former commander of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces.
On Friday evening, Nigerian youth carrying banners and photos of General Soleimani staged a demonstration at Banex in the Federal Capital Territory. Many business shops were closed, and people left the area due to fear of attack by the Nigerian security forces.
"General Qasem, freedom fighter's assassination is injustice, We are ready to die for Palestine, We are all Palestine, Death to America, Death to Israel" were the slogans chanted during the protest which was conducted peacefully.
Meanwhile, at night, many people took part in the commemorations at Maraban Abuja, where Shamsuddeen Hassan delivered a speech about the struggles of the martyr Soleimani towards services for humanity.
The Nigerian scholar highlighted some of the great achievements of Qasem Soleimani which included giving protections to sacred places in the region, especially in Iraq and Syria, saying the American-backed terrorists would have destroyed them.
Shamsuddeen Hassan urged Muslim and Christian youths in African countries to read about the life of the Late Lt. General Qasem Soleimani from books written by people of justice and conscience to learn good examples of true men of God who spent their entire lives in service to human beings irrespective of their religion.
