Iran Press/ Africa: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency in Abuja, Sheikh Zakzaky started by sending condolences to the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and the supporters of the Axes of Resistance over the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
"It is indeed a great loss which has shaken us, but at the same time, we feel that this servant of Allah who has tirelessly worked for about forty years, since the time he was only twenty agers, Allah has destined that he should rest now. And thanks be to Allah, his job, well done. He has stood firmly, dedicated to the cause of liberation of al Aqsa mosque and the Palestinian people who have been occupied by the Zionists," he said.
Nasrallah, a strong icon in the struggles for the liberation of Palestine
The leader of the Islamic Movement added that the martyr Hezbollah Secretary General had become a strong icon in the struggles for the liberation of Palestine until the occupiers themselves acknowledged that he was a hero.
He added: "The occupiers believed that Nasrallah was indeed a hero and they listened to him attentively, and they believed what he said more than their own leaders. They knew that their leaders always tell them lies, whereas, Sayyed Nasrallah always used to tell them truth and they have confidence on what he said. This is in favor of himself that even his enemies acknowledged that he's a hero who stood firmly by his belief, dedicated to his belief until the end."
Sheikh Zakzaky emphasized that the name of Sayyed Nasrallah and his duties would never be forgotten and he would remain alive in the hearts and minds of the world, saying: "His work will continue until victory, as his name indicates, Nasrallah, the victory of Allah the Almighty which is coming soon."
Sheikh Zakzaky said: "On the challenge for the rest of the world, the issue of Palestine this time around has exposed the West. It has shown that clearly there is nothing called democracy.Those leaders of the West are actually a clique of people running the affairs of entire world against the wishes of the world, particularly the Western world. We have been seeing demonstrations all over the West against the occupation of Palestine, the government of these countries fully support the Zionists' atrocities and they praise, which means that, this clique which controls the affairs of people are there, not unbehalf of the people. It has shown clearly that there's nothing called democracy. It doesn't exist in anywhere in the Western world. Now it has shown clearly that the world is divided into two: the oppressors and the oppressed. And it is up to the oppressed people to raise and liberate themselves. And the liberation of Palestine indeed is the liberation for the entire oppressed people of the world."
