Tehran (IP) – Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, addressed the nation today in a fiery speech during an open session of Parliament, denouncing the recent assassination of Hezbollah’s leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. Ghalibaf asserted that the martyrdom of key figures would not weaken the resolve of resistance forces, but rather intensify their commitment to continue the struggle.

Iran PressIran news: “The structures of Hezbollah are designed in such a way that the martyrdom of individuals does not disrupt them. On the contrary, it only strengthens their determination to continue their jihad,” Ghalibaf said. His remarks come in the wake of Sayyed Nasrallah's assassination, a loss that has deeply affected the Muslim world. 

"The martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has pained the hearts of Muslims everywhere," Ghalibaf continued, condemning the assassination as an act perpetrated by "the vilest of individuals." He went on to accuse the United States of complicity in the killing, stating, "The U.S. is a partner in all these crimes."

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the longtime leader of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement, was assassinated in a massive Israeli airstrike in southern Beirut on Friday.
