Mourning the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas' political bureau, and Fuad Shukr, a prominent Hezbollah commander by Israeli regime, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that Israel deliberately targeted civilians in Beirut's southern suburbs while using the incident as a diversion from the Majdal Shams controversy.

Iran Press/West Asia:  The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Lebanon, delivered a speech this afternoon (Thursday) on the occasion of the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas' political bureau, and the martyrdom of "Fuad Shukr," a prominent commander of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, at the beginning of his speech, extended condolences and congratulations on the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh and Fuad Shukr.

He stated, "I congratulate and offer condolences on the martyrdom of our dear brother 'Ismail Haniyeh' to our brothers in Hamas and the Al-Qassam Brigades, the Palestinian people, and the Arab and Islamic nations.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah spoke about the recent assassination operation by the Zionist regime's military in the Haret Hreik area of Beirut's southern suburbs. He said, "The enemy targeted a building filled with civilians in Haret Hreik while assassinating the Hezbollah commander, martyr Fuad Shukr."

He noted, "The enemy's goal in bombing a building in the southern suburbs was to assassinate the great Jihadi commander 'Fuad Shukr,' which led to the martyrdom of seven people, including an Iranian advisor, and the injury of dozens."

Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized that this Israeli crime was not a reaction to the incident in Majdal Shams but rather an attempt to divert public opinion as part of the ongoing war.

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah continued, "The enemy accused Fuad Shukr of killing children in Majdal Shams, and using this accusation as an excuse, carried out the largest deception operation to mislead public opinion."

He clarified, "The enemy accused Hezbollah of the Majdal Shams incident without providing any evidence. However, our internal investigations show that we had no connection with the Majdal Shams incident."

Nasrallah: Israel Lies and Diverts Public Opinion to Terror Resistance Leaders

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Lebanon, stated, "The purpose of the attack on Majdal Shams was to create conflict and strife between the Druze and Shia communities in the Golan. However, we have firmly denied any responsibility for the incident in Majdal Shams and have the courage to admit if we made a mistake."

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah noted, "When the Israelis realized that the victims in Majdal Shams were mostly women and children, they decided to accuse Hezbollah. We have substantial evidence that many of the Zionist regime's defense missiles hit Acre and other areas."

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah added, "Some countries requested that we refrain from responding to the Zionist enemy's attack on the southern suburbs. We are in a full-scale battle on all fronts, and this battle has entered a new phase."

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah emphasized, "We are paying the price for our support of Gaza and the Palestinian cause, and we accept and bear this cost. Hundreds of our people, including civilians, have been martyred as a result."He posed the question, "Do they think they can martyr Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas' political bureau, in Tehran and expect Iran to remain silent?"

He stated, "The goal of assassinating leaders is to weaken resolve and force surrender. However, Netanyahu's close associates have assured him that this will not weaken the resistance."

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Lebanon, continued, "Netanyahu is now relying on assassinations to achieve some sort of success and to showcase accomplishments, but the result has been an intensified resistance from Hamas and Islamic Jihad."

Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized that the assassination of martyr Fuad Shukr only strengthens their resolve and determination. He said, "The assassination of leaders does not impact the resistance; experience has shown that the resistance continues to grow and strengthen."

Addressing the Zionists, he warned, "You will cry a lot because you don't know which red lines you have crossed. The tone of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution after Haniyeh's assassination was harsher than his response after the targeting of the Iranian consulate in Damascus."
