The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) has strongly condemned Israel for its recent aggression against Iran, calling the attacks a severe violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a statement released Monday night, NAM, which includes 121 member countries, condemned the recent Israeli strikes that resulted in the martyrdom of four Iranian military personnel and one civilian.

The statement also denounced the violation of Iran’s sovereignty, noting that Israeli forces illegally used Iraqi airspace to carry out the strikes on Iran. The NAM expressed solidarity with the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and underscored that this attack constitutes a clear violation of international law, particularly Article 2, Paragraph 4 of the United Nations Charter, which prohibits the use of force against any country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Holding Israel accountable for the attack and its consequences, NAM affirmed Iran’s right to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity under international law and the UN Charter. The movement also called on the UN Security Council to condemn Israel's aggression and take action to prevent further violations.

NAM further expressed concern over a persistent lack of accountability for Israeli violations against the people of Palestine, Lebanon, and other nations in the region. The bloc emphasized that Israel should be held responsible for its disregard of UN Security Council resolutions, the International Court of Justice, and other international obligations.
