Iran Press/ Iran news: Talking on resumption of the Islamic Republic and the European parties talks on the nuclear issue Mahmoud Abbaszadeh Meshkini said: "The ball is in the opponent's court and I hope they take the opportunity before it gets too late."
The spokesman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the parliament added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran has clearly stated its position and if the other side wants to negotiate, the condition for the resumption of talks is respect for mutual interests and respect."
He went on to explain that it is expected that the other members would return to negotiations. However, he stressed that the time of the beginning of the dialogue is still unknown.
Abbaszadeh Meshkini, emphasizing that in case of resumption of negotiations, different conditions will be considered, continued: "One of the reasons is the change of the government of the Islamic Republic and the other parties must sit at the negotiating table with the new government."
He said that the policy of the 13th government is to run the country based on internal capabilities. Regarding the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in accelerating the resumption of negotiations, he said: "Of course, each of the foreign ministers has different views on international issues, but it is important that these views be pursued within the framework of Iran's constitution."
Referring to the law on strategic action to lift sanctions, the spokesman for the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said: "All governments are obliged to implement this law and the Islamic Consultative Assembly will not desist from implementing this law precisely."
He noted that Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) officials emphasize that the Strategic Action Plan for the lifting of sanctions is a valuable opportunity for the development of technology in the country.
