IP - The Russian Foreign Ministry will host a meeting on Tuesday to find a solution to Israeli brutal aggression on Gaza by attendance of the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Iran PressEurope: According to a report by the Russian news agency Ria, citing Russian foreign ministry spokesperson, Russian FM Sergey Lavrov will host the meeting.

Russia has held a pro-Palestinian position, condemning Israel for the rising number of civilian casualties and restating its long-standing support for a Palestinian state.

On Monday, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that a telephone conversation was held between the Iranian, and Russian foreign ministers in which the two sides emphasized the immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

In the conversation, the main focus was on the current situation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone, and the parties expressed their concern about the continuation of the armed conflict in the Gaza Strip.

More than 13,000 people killed in Gaza since the Israeli bombardment began on October 7. In Israel, the official death toll in Hamas’s attacks stands at about 1,200.
