Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Karim Hemmati said that in the first phase of Iran's help to Lebanon, 95 tons of foodstuff and medical equipment are being sent, and considering the problems caused by the explosion, we can evaluate the needs in Beirut and send our further helps.
Hemmati went on to say that today, more than 15 tons of medicine in 51 different kinds will be sent which values 150,000 dollars.
40 tons of foodstuff will be sent till tomorrow, he highlighted.
A field hospital with the proper equipment and 13 medical staff is ready to be transferred to Beirut too, the official added.
All the taken steps and the future help is to lessen the pain of Lebanese, Hemmati concluded.
Two massive explosions rocked Beirut on Tuesday, flattening much of the port and damaging buildings across the capital.
Lebanese President Michel Aoun called for an emergency cabinet meeting on Wednesday and said a two-week state of emergency should be declared following a massive explosion in Beirut that killed at least 100 people and injured 4,000 others.
