Tehran (IP) - In the month ending on 21 November 2023, the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) facilitated the trade of over 12.2 million tonnes of commodities and 357 vehicles, with a total trading value of nearly $3 billion on its physical market.

Iran PressIran news: According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the exchange saw approximately 9.9 million commodities and 357 vehicles traded on its metals and minerals trading floor, valued at nearly $2 billion.

The IME sold more than 5.4 million tonnes of cement, over 2 million tonnes of iron ore, more than 1.7 million tonnes of steel, 540,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 97,220 tonnes of zinc, 39,325 tonnes of copper, 28,560 tonnes of aluminum, 2,000 tonnes of cast iron, 1,000 tonnes of coke, 800 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate and 250 tonnes of lead.

Additionally, the exchange saw trade of over 2.1 million tonnes of commodities worth more than $1 billion on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor. Items traded on this floor included vacuum bottom (639,750 tonnes), bitumen (652,735 tonnes), polymeric products (455,000 tonnes), lube cut (1900 tons), chemicals (135628 tons), sulfur (52765 tons), oil (27655 tons), petroleum products (14674 tons), feedstocks (1440 tons), waterproofing materials (1300 tons) and slop wax (1000 tons).

Lastly was the IME's side market on which the exchange traded a total volume of goods amounting to113580 tones.
