Iran Press/Iran news: Mokhber held talks with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, who was visiting Tehran on Saturday to offer condolences on the martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions in a helicopter crash last weekend.

"The late President Raisi accomplished great deeds and important achievements during his time in office. One of his most notable actions was elevating Iran's relations with Islamic, neighboring, and aligned countries, which was highly successful," stated Mokhber.

Iran's Mokhber highlighted President Raisi's strong emphasis on relations with Iraq and his significant role in strengthening the Axis of Resistance. This led to a shift in global power dynamics by collaborating with independent countries and challenging the dominance of the United States and the Zionist occupation regime, particularly during the Zionist atrocities in Gaza."

"Undoubtedly, the strategy of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the government and people of Iraq, as pursued by Ayatollah Raisi, will continue to be robust," emphasized Mokhber.

"The martyrdom of Ayatollah Raisi is a significant loss and an unparalleled tragedy, not only for the Iranian nation but also for the Iraqi nation and the entire region," stated the Iraqi president, offering condolences to the Iranian people and government.

Rashid further emphasized that the Iraqi government and nation will stand by the government and nation of Iran during this difficult period to help overcome the grief. He also stressed his country's determination to continue relations and cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying, "Our strong relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to thrive, and we will take all necessary measures to strengthen the level of these relations."
