The Secretary-General of Asaeb Ahl al-Haq Qais Hadi Sayed Hasan al-Khazali considered the presence of US forces in Iraq as an attempt to safeguard the Zionist regime's security and existence, stressing that the Iraqi people will never give in to the presence of foreign occupiers on their soil.

Iran Press/Middle East: Sheikh Qais al-Khazali said that if the foreign forces do not withdraw from Iraq, they should be considered foreign occupiers.

He stressed that the Iraqi people are ready to sacrifice their lives for the preservation of national dignity and sovereignty, and in this way they would never forget the spilt blood of Martyr Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis.

Sheikh Al-Khazali added: "We are not claiming war or thirsting for bloodshed, but we are patriotic people and seek to preserve the dignity and sovereignty of our country."

Referring to the 100th anniversary of the 1920 uprising of the Iraqi people against the British occupying forces, Asaeb Ahl al-Haq Chief said that the Americans should know that this date coincides with the anniversary of the 1920 uprising of the Iraqi people.

Iraq’s parliament on 5 Jan 2020, passed a resolution calling on the government to end all foreign troop presence in Iraq, as the backlash grew after the martyrdom of a top Iranian IRGC Quds Force Commander Lt Gen Soleimani and an Iraqi PMU Deputy Commander in a US terrorist attack in Baghdad.
