Syrian president: War against terrorism isn’t the battle of Syria, Libya only

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad at a meeting with Libyan delegation co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Abdul-Rahman al-Ahiresh Abdul-Hadi al-Hawaij stated that war against terrorism is for both countries to deal with.

Iran Press/Middle East: Talks during the meeting dealt with the latest developments in Syria and Libya and the battle waged by the two countries against terrorism and all forms of foreign intervention, SANA reported.

The meeting affirmed that what is taking place in Syria and Libya is the same and that the war against terrorism isn’t the battle of the two countries alone, particularly as it will determine the fate of the region in the face of the projects which some states are trying to impose on it through their tools.

The two sides also discussed activating bilateral cooperation in all areas including the restoration of diplomatic ties between the two countries. As a first step, officials of both countries decided to reactivate relations binding the two brotherly nations.

Officials of both countries agreed that this serves the interests of both Syria and Libya.
