Saudi-led coalition’s fighter jets attacked residential areas in the Yemeni border cities of Sheda and Razah in Saada province, north of Yemen, on Saturday.

Saudi Arabia and a number of its regional allies launched a devastating military campaign against Yemen in March 2015, with the aim of bringing back the government of Mansour Hadi back to power.

Some 20,000 Yemenis have been killed and thousands more injured since the onset of the Saudi-led aggression.

The assaults of the Saudi-led coalition forces have failed to stop the Yemenis from resisting the aggression.

Recently, the Yemeni army unveiled its home-made underground missile launching pads.

Last week, Saudi–led aggressors in an act which violated a UN-brokered truce late on Saturday, targeted the town of al-Hani in Hodeidah province with dozens of artillery shells.

Hodeidah, a lifeline for millions of Yemenis, has seen some of the heaviest fighting in the Saudi-led aggression, which began in March 2015.

The ceasefire sponsored by UN between Sanaa delegation and Riyadh delegation went into effect from 18 Dec 2018 in Hodeidah but the Saudi coalition has violated the truce almost every day.

The warring parties in Yemen reached the ceasefire agreement on the Red Sea Ansarullah-held port of Hodeidah on December 13.

The fourth round of Yemen peace talks began on 6 December 2018 with the participation of Yemeni warring sides and headed by Martin Griffiths, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Yemen's affairs in Stockholm of Sweden and led to ceasefire agreement on Hodeidah on Thursday 13 December 2018.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates launched the Hodeidah offensive in June but have been facing strong resistance from Yemeni armed forces—led by the Houthi Ansarullah movement—as well as the city’s residents. 203/103
