Iran Press/ Africa: Israel has confirmed it is holding Gaza hospital director Dr Hussam Abu Safiya after earlier telling it was unaware of his case, sparking concern for his well-being.
Dr Abu Safiya was arrested as the Israeli military forced patients and medical staff to leave Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza last Friday, alleging the facility.
Protesting on Friday evening outside the Red Cross Children’s War Memorial Hospital in Cape Town, reminded the grim statistics emerging from Gaza as hospital after hospital has been taken out by the Zionist regime.
The latest casualty was the Kamal Adwan Hospital, where its Director, Dr Hussam Abu Safiyyah has been illegally abducted and is believed to be held at the notorious Sde Teiman concentration camp in Israel.
Health workers have urged international action and called for awareness to bring an end to the systematic decimation of the Palestinian health system.
They lamented that even bodies such as the United Nations have failed to halt Israel’s brutal terror campaign.
