Iran Press/ Iran news: Referring to the Islamic Republic's stance on the nuclear issue, Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi, Commander of the Iranian Navy, said on Thursday: International treaties do not preclude a country from having peaceful nuclear energy.
Admiral Khanzadi reminded: "When there is no deterrence and readiness for defense, there will be no peace, consolidated and maintained, and for this reason, the armed forces of the countries are present to maintain this peace."
Referring to the presence of the US aircraft carrier in the West Asian region with nuclear propulsion and threats against Iran, the commander of the Iranian Navy Stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran needs the peaceful nuclear energy program and no power can obstruct Iran's access to nuclear capability which brings about peace and security.
Referring to the use of nuclear propulsion by many countries in the world, Rear Admiral Khanzadi said: "Certainly, the development program of nuclear submarine propulsion is on the agenda of the Navy of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran."
A nuclear submarine is a type of submarine that is powered by a nuclear power plant.
