Iran Press/ Iran news: In a message to the National Congress of the 'Army of History-making Angels' in honor of martyred and war veteran women, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei called these brave and devoted women among the highest honors of the Islamic Revolution.
The text of the message of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, which was read this morning by Hojjat al-Islam Shukri, the representative of the Leader in the Martyr and Veterans Affairs Foundation, at the conference venue, is as follows:
Martyred, and war veteran women are the demonstrators of one of the highest honors of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic. The power of faith paved the way for great struggles for Iranian women and created wonderful and unique scenes of their courageous, selfless, and innovative presence in difficult fields.
From the exhilarating demonstrations of the days of the revolution to the unforgettable period of the Holy Defense, and from sacrifice in the ranks of battle to abandoning children and spouses and sending them to embracing danger and to services behind the frontiers, and from being on the frontiers of science and research and technology, literature and art, up to performing in social and political fields and managements, and finally sacrificing in the field of health and serving patients in the recent high-risk test of the coronavirus outbreak, are all signs of the spiritual elevation of Iranian women, which has emerged thanks to the Islamic system and Islamic lessons and values.
Undoubtedly, the martyrs, war veterans women - whose number is estimated at 17,000 - are at the peak of these honors. Despite the culture of corruption and Western degeneration imposed on many women during the Pahlavi era, Iranian women have been able to approach the desired honor and purity of Islam, and this is a great honor.
