Iran Press/Asia: Taliban Defense Ministry spokesman, Enayatullah Khowarazmi said: "Several points beyond the hypothetical line, serving as centers and hideouts for malicious elements and their supporters who organized and coordinated attacks in Afghanistan, were targeted in retaliation from the southeastern direction of the country."
Latest Clashes at the Borders
In the latest intensification of the security situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan Taliban, on Saturday at least one Pakistani paramilitary soldier was killed and seven others wounded in cross-border exchanges of fire with Afghan forces.
Most clashes erupted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan and Khost province in Afghanistan with heavy weaponry.
Tensions rose earlier this week after Pakistan warplanes attacked Tahrike Taliban Pakistan (TTP or Pakistan Taliban) hideouts, but Afghanistan Taliban accused Pakistan of killing 46 people, mainly women and children.
Afghan authorities on Wednesday said that they would retaliate.
The TTP shares a common ideology with the Taliban in Afghanistan last week attacked a Pakistan army outpost near the border with Afghanistan, which Pakistan said killed 16 soldiers.
