In this regard and according to Iran Press; on the occasion of the 3rd of Khordad (May 24), the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr, the Khorramshahr 4 missile class named "Kheibar", the newest missile product of the Aerospace Industries Organization of the Ministry of Defense of Iran, was unveiled on Thursday morning in the presence of Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, the Minister of Defense and Logistics of the Iranian Armed Forces.
The Kheiber missile, which is the newest version of the Khorramshahr missile class, is a liquid-fuel missile with a range of 1,500 kilometers and a warhead of 1,500 kilograms, which, in addition to having strategic features, also has tactical ones.
Among the salient features of the Khorramshahr 4, missile is having a guidance and control system in the middle phase of the flight, the use of this system and guidance engines in the warhead leads to controlling the position and correcting the trajectory of the warhead outside the atmosphere, and practically all the guidance and control of this missile in It takes place outside the earth's atmosphere.
This feature leads to the fact that Khorramshahr 4 or Kheibar does not need the operation of the guidance and control system in the atmosphere and thus is completely immune to electronic warfare attacks.
Another advantage of this guidance and control process is that the warhead of the Khorramshahr 4 missile does not need control beams, which reduces the weight of the systems required in the warhead and increases the weight of the propellant materials.
Khorramshahr 4 missile has a very high special impact due to its very powerful engine, which is 280 seconds on the ground and 300 seconds in a vacuum.
