Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Communications and Information Technology says the first images were received from Khayyam Satellite and will be published within the next one or two weeks.

Iran PressIran news: In a joint cooperation with Russia, the Iranian Satellite "Khayyam" was launched from Baikonur Space Station in Kazakhstan by a Soyuz satellite Carrier and placed in the earth's orbit on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

Iran's Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Isa Zarepour told the Iran Press reporter that the satellite images were yet to be published, for they must be calibrated to have high-definition images. 

Speaking on the sidelines of the cabinet session on Wednesday, Zaerpour said the satellite was going well in its orbit, but it took time for it to become stable.

He said that four months were estimated for the publishing of the images, but within the next two weeks, the received images would be published.
