Karachi (IP) - A terrible explosion was heard near the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, Pakistan last night, where three foreign people were killed.

Iran PressAsia: Due to the explosion, an oil tanker and other vehicles on the spot caught fire, and an emergency situation was immediately implemented to control it. 

Late night, from the police and hospital sources information was received that the three people killed in this explosion so far are Chinese citizens, while the injured also include Chinese and locals.

The bodies of the three Chinese nationals, identified as Li Jun, Wu Chunxin, and Li Zhao, have been kept in cold stores at the Cheehpa Emergency Service, where police have also been deployed, while the injured have been taken to Clifton Hospital. 

A statement from the Chinese Embassy has also come out which says that a convoy of Chinese workers and staff of Port Qasim Electric Power Company was attacked at 11 pm near Karachi Airport. 

The statement called the explosion a terrorist attack and strongly condemned it.

The Baluchistan Liberation Front, a terrorist organization, that is involved in such attacks, has claimed responsibility for the attack through an email to the media representatives in Pakistan.  

The crime scene is completely sealed and the investigation is going on.
