Tehran (IP): The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to false claims of he Secretary General of NATO calling them similar to a bitter irony by a body whose dark history of colonialism as well as military actions considered as the main cause of instability and Insecurity in the whole world.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday: "The claims made by the Secretary General of NATO are similar to a bitter irony, because NATO and some of its members, with a dark history of"" colonialism, designing and implementing destructive and interventionist policies, as well as military actions in West Asia and other geographical regions, are the main cause of instability and Insecurity, not only in the region, but worldwide."

According to Iran press Nasser Kanaani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, condemned the baseless accusations and statements of the NATO Secretary General regarding the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region.

Kanaani noted: The fundamental policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been based on strengthening relations with neighbors within the framework of the principle of good neighborliness and mutual respect. In this regard, trying to achieve a stable, safe and prosperous region and at the same time, the rejection of foreign interventions is always considered as one of the Islamic principles of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and is emphasized.

According to Iran press Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), recently has allegedly accused the Islamic Republic of Iran of instability in the West Asian region and claimed that Iran is responsible for supporting terrorists who attack ships in the Red Sea. 204
