Iran Press/ Europe: "Sergei Lavrov will meet with Josep Borrell in Moscow to discuss a range of international issues, including 2015 Iran Nuclear Deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the prospects for Russia-EU relations," Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Maria Zakharova told reporters.
According to Zakharova, wide-ranging exchange of views on important issues on the international agenda, including the situation in the western Balkans, the situation in the Middle East and North Africa, and the Commonwealth of Nations (a number of former Soviet republics), is scheduled for Lavrov and Borrell.
He added: "The two sides will consider the prospect of implementing a comprehensive joint action plan to resolve the situation around Iran's nuclear program, further stabilization of the Nagorno-Karabakh region and security issues in Europe and other issues of interest."
The European Union is in fact coordinating the P4+1 talks to resolve differences over Iran's nuclear program.
Earlier, the European Union's foreign policy chief announced that he would travel to Moscow to discuss with Russian officials the recent protests following the arrest and detention of anti-government political activist Alexei Navalny.
Russia has warned Western countries against interfering in its internal affairs, and Zakharova has said that the United States and European countries should focus on their domestic affairs.
