Iran Press/Iran news: Major General Mohammad Bagheri Iranian Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces and Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani attended the inauguration ceremony in attendance of senior Iranian Armed Forces commanders.
Opening the largest Iranian military base at the second Maritime Zone of Jask, a strategic port city in the Hormozgan province in southern Iran in the vicinity of Hormuz Strait among the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman enabled Iran's Navy to enhance security in the region, particularly for protecting Iranian Blue industry and maritime traffic.
At the same time, in a ceremony attended by senior Iranian military officials at the sideline of the Army's 'Eqtedar 1403' drill, the Iranian Navy unveiled the 'Combat-Intelligence Zagros Destroyer' at the Konarak Navy Base in Sistan and Balochistan province, southeastern Iran.
