Iran Press/ Iran news: Alireza Zali stated that 340 doses of Japanese-made AstraZeneca vaccine were injected, and more than 8.1 million doses of it would be imported to Iran on Friday, July 30.
During his visit to the Niyavaran collaborative COVID-19 vaccination base, Zali said: "In line with humanitarian goals, in light of the friendship between Japan and Iran, and based on the coronavirus outbreak in Iran, the Japanese government has donated the AstraZeneca vaccine, which is of a high standard."
"Japan has been a great help to us to contain the disease, and the World Health Organization (WHO) has also been helping Iran through Japan," he added.
For his part, the Japanese Ambassador to Tehran, Aikawa Kazutoshi said: "The Japanese government has announced that 1,100,000 doses of the Japanese-made AstraZeneca vaccine have been sent to Iran."
"1.8 million doses of Japanese-made AstraZeneca vaccine are expected to be sent to Iran on Friday, July 30, 2021," he pointed out.
