Rome(IP) - Once again, Italians flooded the streets of Rome, the capital of Italy, to denounce the atrocities against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Iran Press/ Europe: On Saturday evening, thousands of demonstrators draped in Palestinian flags marched through Rome's central streets, voicing solidarity with Gaza's people while demanding an end to the conflict and a ceasefire.

Among the marchers was Francesca Perri, an Italian doctor supporting Palestine and Gaza, who spoke to an Iran Press reporter on-site. Condemning the actions of the Zionist regime in Gaza, she highlighted her involvement with the 'Health Network For Gaza,' a group of doctors and nurses working to amplify the voices of their Palestinian colleagues amidst the ongoing crisis.

Slogans such as "Zionist Israel - terrorist regime" and "Fascist Israel - terrorist regime" echoed through the streets as demonstrators expressed support for Gaza's resistance and the call for a free Palestine. Protesters also criticized Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's government, accusing it of complicity in the Israeli regime's actions in Gaza.

Similar demonstrations took place in Milan and Turin, with over 1,500 university professors urging an end to scientific and academic cooperation between Italy and Israel. Students across numerous Italian universities, including the prestigious University of Rome, joined in demanding a boycott of any collaborations between Italian universities and Israel.

At least 32,705 Palestinians have been killed and 75,190 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.
