Iran Press/ West Asia: A loud blast has been reported by the Al Jazeera and a plume of smoke could be seen rising in al-Dahieh, the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital Beirut.
The city has been on edge for days ahead of an anticipated Israeli attack in retaliation for a strike on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights that killed a dozen youngsters.
The Israeli Terrorist Military has said that the strike has been conducted to terror a high commander of Hezbollah resistance forces.
Al-Mayadeen news channel, pointing out that the explosion in Beirut was caused by Israel's attack on a densely populated area, reported that several people were injured during these attacks.
Al-Mayadeen reporter who is present at the scene of the accident says that ambulances have arrived at the scene. The building that was targeted is attached to Bahman Hospital in Hare Dik area.
Hebrew language sources announced that the Israeli army assassinated Fuad Shukr, the director of Hezbollah's point-to-point missile project and one of the senior advisers to Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, in an attack on the southern suburbs of Beirut.
This is while Hezbollah officially announced that the assassination attempt against Fawad Shukar was defeated.
