Palestine (IP) - Nevatim is home to the Israeli Air Force’s most advanced aircraft, including US-produced F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter jets, which the Israeli media admitted was damaged by the Iranian retaliatory operation on Tuesday.

Iran Press/West Asia: The Iranian Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) launched a missile operation against the Israeli regime on Tuesday evening in response to the Israeli regime's violation of Iran's territorial integrity as it assassinated Hamas leader Ismail Haniya in Tehran.

"New satellite images of a key Israeli military air base appear to show a large hole in the roof of an aircraft hangar, indicating damage caused by a missile fired by Iran Tuesday in its massive barrage on Israel," Times of Israel reported.

The Israeli newspaper announced that Israel’s military did not immediately comment about the satellite images, but acknowledged that some of its airbases were hit in Iran’s attack on Nevatim military air base.

However, the regime's media outlet insists on suggesting that the damage is “ineffective,” meaning that the continuous operations of the Israeli air force or fighter jets, drones, other aircraft, munitions, or critical infrastructure are not harmed.

Meanwhile, the other Israeli newspaper Maariv said that heavy damage was inflicted on the Nevatim air base as Iran retaliated against the Israeli regime's violation of Iran's territorial integrity and sovereignty and assassination of the leader of Hamas political bureau Ismail Haniya.

It added that the damage caused to the Nevatim base in Iran's missile attack would have a negative effect on Israel's air defense.

Nearly 200 missiles were fired in Tuesday's operation, 90 % of which hit the targets, as IRGC announced in a statement, that three military bases near Tel Aviv were hit by Iranian-made missiles, including the Nevatim Air Base.
