Gaza (IP) – Israeli military forces have launched a sustained aggression on the northern West Bank city of Jenin, with the aggression now entering its sixth day. The offensive, which has seen widespread destruction of infrastructure, is part of a broader campaign to suppress Palestinian resistance in the region.

Iran Press/West Asia: Israeli forces have not only targeted Palestinian youth and journalists but have also engaged in direct confrontations with Palestinian resistance fighters. As the aggression escalates, Israeli bulldozers have been demolishing homes, shops, and critical infrastructure in Jenin, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis for the local population.

In addition to the aggression in Jenin, Israeli troops have extended their campaign to other areas of the West Bank, including Nablus and the Tulkarm refugee camp. Here, Palestinian youths have been subjected to violent arrests, with many beaten during the raids.

The stated aim of the Israeli military in its aggression is to dismantle the armed resistance of Palestinian youths in Jenin.

Speaking to Iran Press in Beirut, Ahmad Abdelhadi, a representative of the Hamas movement in Lebanon, emphasized that the Palestinian experience of resistance against Israel has proven effective. He asserted that through steadfast resistance, Palestinians can thwart Israeli plans in the West Bank.
